Common Ground, by Name and By Nature

Who We Are

Common Ground Wines (CGW) was founded by two university friends, Jordin Clark and Kaylea McCarron, who together bring over 30 years of combined experience across Ontario’s beverage alcohol and hospitality sectors. Our backgrounds span senior leadership, sales, brand strategy, operations, and startup development, and we have built this agency on the conviction that exceptional wine is first and foremost about connection: between producer and place, between story and glass, between the people who make wine and those who share it.

The Founders

Jordin Clark brings over 16 years of experience in Ontario’s wine and spirits industry, including senior leadership roles at established agencies such as Lifford Wine & Spirits. His expertise in portfolio management and supplier relations provides Common Ground Wines with deep operational credibility and strong market experience and relationships. Wine is, for Jordin, more than a career as it is part of his roots. He grew up in Niagara (Ontario, Canada) wine country during the era when the region was earning both domestic and international recognition, watching firsthand as family estates and independent producers built something lasting from the land. That experience has shaped the way he thinks about producer relationships, regional identity, and what it means to represent a wine with integrity.

Kaylea McCarron brings over 15 years of experience across sales and marketing, brand development, and beverage operations. As the General Manager who brought an award-winning craft brewery from concept to shelf, earning provincial and national recognition, she gained what few agency principals can offer: a firsthand understanding of what it takes to produce something exceptional. She knows the decisions and processes before a bottle is filled, the realities of small-batch production, and what it means to place your craft in someone else’s hands. That understanding shapes how she approaches every supplier relationship. Kaylea also grew up on a working livestock farm in Bruce County, Ontario, where her family practiced sustainable farming long before it became an industry talking point. The values of that upbringing, including stewardship of the land, honest work, and respect for natural cycles, are ones she recognizes immediately in the producers CGW seeks to represent. For Kaylea, the connection to independent, land-driven winemakers is not abstract; it is personal.

How We Work

We operate in all channels available in the Ontario marketplace. This includes: the LCBO tender system, Ontario consignment, on-premise accounts throughout Toronto, the GTA, and the Southern Georgian Bay/Muskoka corridor and with direct-to-consumer (online shop, coming soon). Every partnership is backed by storytelling: producer profiles, winemaker features, and real education for trade and consumer audiences alike.

Representation should mean advocacy, not just logistics. That’s the whole point.

We’re early in our journey, and proud of it. Common Ground Wines is building Ontario’s next great independent wine agency, one meaningful partnership at a time.
